UNBS collaborates with British standards institute. Business Detect Media
Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) has intensified mandatory standards enforcement in the country.
As a way to achieve this UNBS has collaborated with the British Standards Institute (BSI).
They have launched the Commonwealth Standards Network (CSN) programme that supports agricultural and other value chains to comply with best international practices.
In the National Standardization Strategy (NSS) UNBS is optimistic to promote hygiene, quality of every commodity and product.
National Standardization Strategy Council Chairperson applauded the efforts for the positive results.
‘This NSS will drive the momentum for quality innovation, production and marketing of
standardized products and services for economic transformation,’ says Eng Munyaami.
“UNBS is a strategic
development partner for the competitiveness of Uganda’s products and services.” Munyaami added.
The National Standards Council will facilitate and support UNBS Management to develop
standards identified in this strategy.
