French Petroleum giants have today donated Ug shs. 30,000,000/= million to rehabilitate Namagera Church of Uganda primary school in Waliwo.
Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) Chief of Defence Force Gen David Muhoozi has today received a cheque.
Namagera CoU primary school has been in a bad state.
Residents have applauded the Army and Total Uganda for the initiative, as a step to promote education in the area.
‘I have received a cheque worth UGX 30,000,000 (Thirty million shillings only) from Total Uganda Ltd in support of the Defence Force Week rehabilitation of Namagera Church of Uganda Primary School in Wakiso District,’ says Gen David Muhoozi.
The Managing Director of Total Uganda Limited Mr Obi Imemba handed over the cheque to UPDF in the presence of Namagera CoU Head Teacher Mr Henry Bufumbe.
The Total Group has been in Uganda since 1955 through the Marketing and Services division for which it is the market leader with over 129 fuel stations.
In 2010, the company also established an exploration and production affiliate Total E&P Uganda.
