Netflix premieres over 100 ‘Made in Africa’ collection

Netflix has announced a full long list of African talent in series , filters and cool documentaries .

Netflix is giving African film makers a platform to share their work this Africa Month with the launch of “Made In Africa” collection. The collection features over 100 titles that were made by African filmmakers.

Netflix is committed to demonstrate its commitment to Africa as a whole and its great culture.

Despite restrictions of some movies to Africa viewers on Netflix this time around its made in africa is available globally, the list includes over 100 titles with older films and Netflix originals like REDSEA, Beasts of no Nation, Tsotsi.

A lot of movies filmed on the continent will also feature as part of the celebration. 

  • Queen SONO
  • The Ivory Game
  • King of Boys
  • Virunga
  • The SetUp

among others

This Africa Month we celebrate amazing stories from across this beautiful continent. A collection of films, series and documentaries that are proudly MadeInAfrica & streaming on Netflix.a tweet from a verified official Netflix Africa channel stated.

“This Africa Month, we’re excited to celebrate African stories and storytellers. This collection includes Queen Sono – our first Netflix original series – and as well as films like Catching Feelings, Chief Daddy, 93 Days, Merry Men,” said Ben Amadasun, Director of Licensing and Co-productions for Africa at Netflix.

“We hope that by making these ‘Made in Africa’ titles easily available we will help ensure they are watched Around the world.” he added .
