I will never coach Kcca again!” Mike Mutebi roars

2 min read

Former KCCA coach who was recently fired following a poor spell has come out to claim that in his remaining lifetime, he can never be a coach for the Kasasiro boys again.

The controversial Mutebi attributed his leaving to a number of things with the administration’s interference in technical matters being one of them.

“When i had signed a contract in 2015 to be the head coach, I put on the table my terms and conditions which they accepted. But with the new administration, they were trying to interfere with what I was doing. Mike Mutebi doesn’t accept that. I had to leave.” He said

The furious Mutebi also said that the club top admins had contacted him asking him to step aside for the remaining part of the season just as Mckinstry was told on the cranes’ job. Mutebi says such a request was an insult to him and he instead asked them to terminate his contract and compensate him which they indeed did.

Mutebi who happened to be the highest-paid coach in the league says that at KCCA, he did his best as he nurtured players from way down from the academies to the top with Allan Okello, Mustapha Kizza being among them.

Mutebi adds that he doesn’t regret working with KCCA because as a football person, he derives the satisfaction he brought at Lugogo.

It is remembered that Mutebi took the Kasasiro boys to the group stages of the Caf Confederation Cup and Caf champions league something that had never been seen for many decades.

Mutebi says that he is currently not desperate for a job but is willing to listen to any offers that may come on the table.
